# Your account

*Notice version 1.0, from 2026-10-21.*

**In short:** your school runs this kit. It keeps your username, email, role and classes, and
the games, sprites and sounds you make, so you and your teachers can work on them. You can
see, download, correct or ask to delete them on your Account page.

- **Who is responsible:** your school, or the organisation that runs this kit. Its name and
  contact are on [/privacy](/privacy). The kit's makers never see your data.
- **What is kept:**
  - your username, email, role (student, teacher …) and classes;
  - your games, their history and the files the compiler made;
  - your sprites and sounds;
  - when you signed in;
  - a log of important actions, such as changing a password or deleting a game.
- **Why:** so you can sign in, keep your work, and so teachers can help you. The school's
  reason in law is in its records ([roles and legal bases](../roles_and_legal_bases.md)).
- **Who can see it:** you; the teachers of your classes (they can read your games, not
  change them); the school's administrators.
- **How long:** while you have the account. Games you delete stay in "Recently deleted"
  for 30 days. The log is kept for one year. Backups are kept for 35 days.
- **What you can do** (Account page → Your data):
  - download everything as one file;
  - ask for something to be corrected;
  - ask for your account to be deleted;
  - ask for the use of your data to be paused;
  - object.

  The school answers within one month. You can also complain to your country's data
  protection authority.
- **Tip:** use a nickname in your games, not your full name.
