# Saving copies in Google Drive, OneDrive or GitHub

*Notice version 1.1, from 2026-10-22.*

**In short:** connecting a cloud account lets the kit save copies of your games in a folder
of your own Google Drive or OneDrive, or in a GitHub repository you choose, and only there.
You can disconnect at any time; the copies stay yours.

- **Optional.** The kit works the same without it. You choose, and you tick the box first.
  If you are younger than the age your country sets, your parent or guardian must agree.
  Your school tells you how.
- **What the kit can do there:**
  - Google Drive: only files the kit made;
  - OneDrive: only the kit's own app folder;
  - GitHub: only the repositories you install the kit's GitHub App on. Each game is a folder
    of files there, with the message you write for each commit.

  It cannot see your other files.
- **What the kit keeps:** which cloud account you connected, which games are synced, and a
  key to reach that folder. The key is encrypted and is never shown to anyone.
- **Where:** Google, Microsoft or GitHub may keep your files outside the EU, for example in the USA,
  under their own terms and the EU-US arrangements.
- **Stopping:** press Disconnect. The kit forgets the key at once and asks Google to cancel
  it. With Microsoft, also remove the app in your account's settings. Copies already in your
  cloud stay there, and you can delete them yourself.
