# Trying the kit without an account

*Notice version 1.2, from 2026-10-22.*

**In short:** without an account, your games, sprites and sounds stay in this browser only.
To show you the C code, play a sound or run your game, the server works on them for a moment
and keeps nothing. Clearing the browser's data deletes them.

- **What is kept:** the games, sprites and sounds you make, in this browser's storage
  (IndexedDB) on this computer.
- **Who can see it:** anyone who uses this browser on this computer. The school and the kit's
  makers cannot.
- **What the server sees:** when you press *Generate* or *Run*, or listen to a sound, the
game or sound is sent to the school's kit server, which answers and forgets it: *Run* builds
your game in a private folder that is removed at once, and nothing is saved or written to a
log. Making a cartridge to download needs an account.
- **How long:** until you or someone else clears the browser's data.
- **What you can do:** save a game to a file and keep it. To delete everything, clear the
site's data in the browser settings.

Who is responsible, and how to ask: [/privacy](/privacy).
